Sod Installation
At Rivera’s we have a six-step process prior installing your new sod
1. Know what type of soil the property has
2. Choose the grass
3. Prepare the soil and level the ground
4. Lay the sod
5. Water
6. Roll the grass
The two types of Sod that we install are: St. Augustine, and Bermuda
St. Augustine is a gorgeous, green color with a dense grow that makes it suitable for moderate foot traffic for your children or pets. It is most
common type of grass that we install due to our warmer climate, its shade tolerant and drought resistance. This type of sod requires watering
several times a week.
Bermuda is a dark green in color with a medium fine texture. It is the most common sod in sports turf because of fast growth and recovery from
high foot traffic. It is drought tolerant and requires full sunlight for better results.
